Fresh Georgia Peach Cobbler Recipe

Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: 30 minutes | Makes: 12 servings

I love to go to local fresh farms and buy all of my fruits and vegetables. Sarah’s peaches in Trenton, SC has the best peaches in the country!

So my family loves pies and cobblers! I have developed this one peach cobbler, from playing around with the many different ones I have tried out to fine tune it to be the best!

INGREDIENTS
  • 10- Fresh peaches sliced (With peel on)
  • 1/3 cup of cornstarch (may need a little more to make it thick not watery)
  • 2 cups of sugar (Spelnda works great too)
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • Package of rolled pie crust (Find in your dairy section)
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Pre-heat oven to 400
  2. Combine everything and mix well. Sugar, sliced peaches, cornstarch, almond extract, melted butter into a bowl.
  3. In a casserole dish like 9 x13 pour mixture into it.
  4. Then roll out the rolled pie crust and cut into long strips. You are going to criss cross it on top of the mixture.
  5. Melt a little butter and brush on top of the strips of dough. Then sprinkle a little sugar all over the top of it.
  6. Bake in oven for 30 minutes, or a little longer to make crust lightly brown on top.
