Honey-Mustard Dipping Sauce Recipe

Sweet sauce with a kick, this condiment makes almost anything taste better.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and stir to combine. Simmer until slightly thickened and reduced to about 3/4 cup, about 5 minutes. Use immediately or let cool to room temperature and store refrigerated in an airtight container until ready to use.
I don't like the honey mustards that are mostly mayonnaise and have been looking for one that doesn't use it. This gives me another recipe to experiment with, so thanks!
This seems way too simple, and not at all to my personal taste as I don't care for dijon mustard. (I prefer whole grain for most things.) The first time I made honey-mustard dipping sauce I remember that all the ingredients could be purchased at Trader Joe;s, and it included a whple grain mustard they no longer carry, mayonnaise, and dark maple syrup instead of honey.
