Pineapple and Grape Kebabs Recipe

Pineapple and Grape Kebabs
Difficulty: Easy | Makes: 1 to 2 servings

Many kids turn their noses up at fruit, but thread it on a skewer (with a blunt edge, of course) and watch them play with their food in the best possible way.

This recipe was featured as part of our Good Food for Kids photo gallery.

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Alternately thread 4 grapes and 3 pieces of pineapple on a wooden skewer or craft stick (if using skewers, trim off any pointy ends with scissors after assembling). Repeat to make 4 skewers. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to serve.

  • I first thought they were olives and cubes of cheese! The larger photo, though, revealed the truth. But, add the suggestion of olives and cheese, with a little pita bread and some fruit, a pretty good meal.

  • nice presentation

  • Oy, I can already see some kid sent home because s/he brought a "weapon" to school. Other than that, sounds good! Toward the end of the school year, I used to make "geometric" lunches; triangle cheese with triangle crackers and triangle carrot sticks, next day square ham cubes with other square foods; round cheese, round crackers and grapes -- you get the idea
