Smushed Turkey and Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Mashing it down makes it hold together all that much better—and makes it more fun to take in a school lunch.

- Slice 2 sweet yeast rolls in half horizontally. If your little one likes mayonnaise or mustard, you can spread about 1/2 teaspoon of each on each roll. Place 1/2 ounce of sliced turkey breast on the bottom of each roll and 1/2 ounce of cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese on top of the turkey. Smush the sandwiches by placing a cast iron or other heavy pan on top of them for at least 5 minutes.

it's a lot silly. Like someone just thought of it! Guess these pepole never heard of a panini!
This idea is little silly, but for some reason, I find that breads that are sweeter do taste best when smushed. I used to do it to egg breads all the time as a kid. Never would think to smush a sandwich on purpose though!

I agree, but it certainly made me want a smuched sandwich. it actually just brought me back to elementary school.

i find the smushed sandwich to be a common and un-wanted result of brown-bagging; no recipe required.
