Just use malted milk powder, and save the malted milk balls for the cinema, along with the popcorn, Dots and Junior Mints.

  • I don't care whose watching. Out of the blender jug is the way to go!

  • The usual measure is 3 Tbsp to 8 oz. milk.

  • So, instead of the malted milk balls, how much malted milk powder should I add? I bought the powder a while ago and have never used it!

I must completely AGREE with you... this is one of those cases where less is more, don't gild the lilly, don't dress it up... a malted only needs a glass and maybe, MAYBE a straw or spoon (a big maybe!)... if no one's watching, drinking it straight out of the blender/shake machine is perfectly acceptable

  • Malted milk powder, otoh, IS a good thing.

  • Um...no. Leave the malt balls out of it. The whole point of this drink is its cold, delicious, thick, SMOOTHNESS.
