East 9th Street Recipe

A spin on the Manhattan, concocted in a 9th Street Sake Bar.

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 oz Rye Whiskey
  • 1 oz Canton's Ginger Liqueur
  • Bitters
  • Decent quality dry to very-dry sake
  • Ice
  • Lime wedge
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Place Rye & Canton’s into shaker with one or two ice cubes
  2. Shake until your hands are cold
  3. Strain into Old Fashioned glass filled with ice
  4. Fill remainder of glass with sake and top with two to three dashes bitters. Give a quick stir. Garnish with lime wedge.
  5. Drink very slow. It’s potent.
