Stir it. Not shake. Too much sugar, 1/2 ounce of Benedictine instead.

  • Had this at NOPA this evening. Terrific drink and yeah, what the heck shaken, no way. This is a stirred drink. At NOPA tonight the finished it off with a flamed orange twist.

  • As noted, the drink should be stirred. What hasn't been mentioned, though, is the fact that there's WAY too much Benedictine included in this recipe. The ratio should be in the neighborhood of 8 to 1 (2oz bourbon to 1/4oz Benedictine).

  • shake this, really?

  • I noticed the recipe is tagged with "hangover". Is this drink supposed to cause one or cure one?

  • Shake? Really?
