Tuna! Cream of Mushroom! Brown Rice! Kettle Cooked Chips! Recipe
Take two American casserole classic ingredients, add a couple new ones, remove the ‘casseroling’, and you have perhaps the simplest addictive meal ever! Even the kids will love it…
- One cup brown rice, uncooked.
- Two 5oz. cans of chunk light tuna, 1 in water, 1 in oil.
- One can of condensed cream of mushroom soup
- One bag of kettle cooked chips, any brand.
- Cook the brown rice… it does take about 90 minutes, but with a rice cooker, it’s ’set it and forget it". And no other type of rice will work as well. The nutty flavor is important (not to mention the health benefits).
- Fluff the cooked rice, and mix in, first, the can of tuna with water (don’t drain). Then mix in the tuna with oil. Mix well, so all the tuna is seperated.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, unheated. Do not add water.
Mix well. - Put the mixture in a bowl, and scoop as much of it as you can on each chip you pick!
