Guava Batida Recipe

Guava Batida
Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: Under 5 mins | Active Time: | Makes: 2 drinks

Determined to find a tasty cachaça cocktail beyond the ubiquitous Caipirinha, we searched high and low (and asked our Brazilian co-worker). We settled on this batida: a spiked fruit shake made with guava and condensed milk. Within a few sips, you’ll be transported to the beaches of Brazil.

  • In Texican cooking we have Ponches(punches) made with whole milk or evaporated milk(pet) mixed with cinanmon, vanilla, raw egg, sugar and sometimes raisins and wiskey. can be served warm or cold.

We also have batadas(beaten/ shakes) de pina(pineapple). Whole milk, egg whites and sugar is blended till frothy, then pineapple is added and blended till smooth. served cool.

  • Is that sweetened condensed milk? Sounds awfully sweet to me considering the guava juice is so sweet.
