Duck Fart Recipe
An Alaskan original created more than 20 years ago at the Peanut Farm in Anchorage, this layered cocktail is said to be named for the sound you’ll make after drinking one.
This recipe was featured as part of our Drinks Around the World for New Year’s Eve.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ounce Kahlúa
- 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
- 1/2 ounce Crown Royal Whisky
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pour Kahlúa into a 3-ounce shot glass.
- Using the convex side of a bar spoon, slowly pour Baileys over the Kahlúa, making sure not to disturb it, to create a layered effect.
- Using the same technique, layer the Crown Royal over the Baileys.
I agree with DeCaye! Phil will be missed forever! "Crab Fart"...........:)
They need to re-name this drink in honor of Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie! Call it Crab Fart :)
have you tried the fairly new Kahlua Especial? Less sweet and 70 proof. Need I say more?

Sounds like another variation of the B-52 (Baileys, Kalhua, Grand Marnier)
yumtown!
I personally enjoy this drink more with chilled ingredients, and do recommend it, but it's not a requirement.
Love the name, sounds pretty tasty- should the Kahlua and the Baileys be chilled? Reminds me of the old days, Brandy Alexanders!
way popular, didn't know it was a locally created drink. Sells like mad. Looks better layered. Tastes fine either way. We were too busy to layer and no one knows thats how they come really. Extremely popular drink up here and one that is a nice upsell.
