I was making Blackberry Brandy. Very difficult and intense recipe. Blackberries, inna pot add brandy, seal, shake daily but do not open for 8 weeks, strain, bottle chill drink 0 said that it was intense ……. I had a few blackberries left over so I popped them into a glass with some vodka (I was making Pear Schnapps as well) that I had spare. This went into the fridge.

That evening I now had some infused vodka and a thirst, so I had a play.

The name is in memory of my wife.

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 ozs Absolut Vodka
  • 8 blackberries (I used frozen ones)
  • 2 ozs Apple and Cinnamon Juice
  • Ice
  • Lemonade or Club soda
INSTRUCTIONS

I invented this last night – honestly.

Place the vodka, berries, juice and three ice cubes in a shaker and beast it. I suppose that you could muddle before shaking but the ice cubes do a good job apart from cooling the drink.

  1. Strain into a Collins Glass, add ice and lemonade, or Club Soda to suit.
  2. BTW: It is nice without the lemonade or Club Soda.
