purely decadent raw chocolate pudding Recipe
this recipe is not completely vegan, it contains organic raw honey which i do enjoy for it’s health benefits. it is antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, healing, digestive and is the only natural substance that never spoils. just make sure it is unprocessed and comes from a good source that is bee-friendly, the farmers’ market is a good place to look.
if you want it completely vegan this recipe could easily be made using maple syrup or raw agave instead!

- 6 small haas avocados
- 4 tbsp cacao powder
- 3 tbsp maca powder
- 1 tbsp lavender
- 1/2 of a nutmeg seed (ground)
- 1 tsp raw vanilla extract (or 1/4 tsp vanilla bean)
- 2/3 c raw honey
- 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 medjool date (pitted)
- pit and scoop out the flesh of the avocados. pit the date and combine all ingredients in a blender. i used a vita-mix to make this, which is pretty much the most powerful blender you can get. i’m not sure how this mixture would hold up in a regular blender or food processor since it’s so thick.
- if, after blended, the mixture is still too thick for your liking you can add more water.
- once completely pureed you can spoon it directly into a small bowl for serving or refrigerate until cool. it will thicken slightly upon chilling. i garnished it with additional lavender.
