Vegan Hot Cocoa Recipe

This quick and easy Gluten Free beverage can be simply made from scratch in a matter of minutes.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1 cup water (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 20 drops stevia
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Place cashews and (room temperature) water in a blender; puree on high until completely smooth and no lumps of cashew remain
  2. Blend in cocoa, agave, stevia and vanilla
  3. Divide cocoa mixture evenly between 2 mugs
  4. Top off each mug with ½ cup boiling water
  5. Serve

    This was fantastic! I added two tbsp of avocado for creaminess, healthy fat, and substance....turned out amazing!

  • This was a lovely recipe for a hot chocolate that's not disgustingly sweet like most are.

    I didn't have the agave nectar or stevia and instead sweetened with dates since everything was going to go into the blender anyways. I also thought that it could have been more chocolately so I upped the amount of cocoa.
