Log Cabin Recipe

Log Cabin
Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: | Makes: 1 drink

This autumn-inspired drink uses sweet maple-flavored liqueur with apple brandy, sparkling apple cider, and a bit of lemon juice to balance it all out.

What to buy: We like Sortilège maple liqueur for its smooth and not-too-sweet blending of Canadian whisky and maple syrup.

This recipe was featured as part of our Thanksgiving for Six menu.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 ounces maple liqueur
  • 1 ounce apple brandy, such as Calvados
  • 1/4 to 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice
  • 1 ounce sparkling apple cider
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine the liqueur, brandy, and 1/4 ounce of the lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Taste and add more lemon juice as needed.
  2. Pour everything, including the ice, into an 8-ounce rocks glass, top with the sparkling cider, and gently stir to combine.

There is nothing better than Sortilege, chilled or on the rocks. Cannot wait to make this on the weekend; please keep the Sortilege recipes coming! :)

  • mhm. i live in vancouver bc. and one of my favourite drinks is a maple and whiskey cocktail called jack's canada. i discovered it at revel room.

equal parts lime juice and whiskey. plus maple syrup to taste (start with just a little.) combine with ice in a cocktail shaker. serve neat or on the rocks depending on preference. revel room serves it on ice in a rocks glass.
