Great caramel for dipping apple slices or thin with water or milk and pour some on your
Ice cream.
INGREDIENTS
- sweetened condwnsed milk (I use eagle brand
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place UNOPENED CAN in sauce pan cover with cold water, simmer very low
heat until water half gone turn can or cans cover with water again. Simmer until water half gone. let cool
- Grand kids love have apple slices dipped in caramel with my wife.
- I make 3 cans at a time. the lable comes off but cans are easily recognised later.
Thin with water or milk for sauce for ice cream

I have never tried it. Try 1 can covered for 12 hrs. I would
use generic for trial. I think it will work.
warning, once you taste the Eagle Brand the others seem to be lacking.
can you do this with the unopened cans of sweetened condensed milk on the low setting of a crock pot?
The caramel is absolutely delicious.
But please mention the safety issues when heating an UNopened can.
If it explodes, you will have HOT STICKY Burning caramel on you and your kitchen walls.
Some suggestions would be.
1- Use the lowest setting on stove.
2- Make absolutely sure the water does not evaporate in the pot, which can easily happen when you're simming for a long period of...+READ
