  • I think the recipe is very tasty. Maybe its called what it's called because it contains "Thai shrimp" LOL

  • I lived in Bangkok for 12 years and agree that the Thai make some STRANGE pizzas, but nothing like this. I agree with those above who say that the word "Thai" has no business in this recipe.

  • who cares what it's called ... has any one tried this? it looks kind of tasty!

  • Would it appease the masses if it were called "thai-style" pizza? "Thai pizza" got my attention in a way that "peanut-butter pizza" never would. I recently put miso and tahini sauce as a base on a grilled pizza along with sauteed red cabbage, grilled arichokes, tomatoes and mozzarella, and it was a flavorful combo, so perhaps I should post the recipe as "Japanese pizza"? • I would expect the word Thai not to be used at all, to be honest.

  • This is not a true "thai" recipe but the title also had the word pizza in it, what did you expect?

  • Sorry johnny, am with vorpal on that one, there are only 2 ingredients that are used in Thai cooking....shrimps and scallions, and they are hardly unique to Thai cooking. Sorry to be niggling, but as that aint Thai in any respect, you shouldn't call it Thai.

  • This dish may be perfectly delicious (I don't know), but I really don't see how it is Thai in any sense. I strongly wish that people wouldn't bandy this term around so lightly. Using "Thai" in the context that you have is like calling a BLT sandwich "Italian" because of the presence of the tomato.
