	<li>In a bowl, combine the sausage meat, egg, 1 tablespoon parsley, and anchovy paste. Mix well.</li>
		<li>Heat the oil to 375&deg; F.</li>
		<li>Spread the bread slices with sausage mixture, mounding in the center. Cut into triangles. Fry until golden and cooked through, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.</li>
		<li>Can be assembled for frying the day before. Fried toasts can be frozen and reheated in a 350&deg; F. oven on paper towel-lined sheets until hot.</li>
		<li>Note: For variety, add 1 teaspoon minced gingerroot and omit anchovy paste. Or add &frac14; teaspoon crushed fennel seeds and a pinch of marjoram, omitting the anchovy paste.</li>
