  • On a 9-inch platter, arrange the ingredients as follows. Place the capers in the center and surround with onions, herring, parsley, and beets. Place the egg yolk in half its shell in an egg cup at the side of the platter. When ready to serve, pour the egg yolk into the center of the platter and mix all of the ingredients together. Serve with Swedish flatbread or rye bread.
