Chocolate Chip Cookie Delite Recipe

By chefjlv
Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: 30 minutes the most | Makes: 16 squares

Got this recipe after given a piece, and it was so good, I asked for the recipe.
My husband not liking instant pudding said he wouldn’t like it. Wrong, he loved it.
It’s a dessert you just can’t get enough of and you can experiment with different cookie dough & puddings.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tube of (16-1/2 oz) refrigerated cookie chip dough
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) Cool Whip thawed
  • 3 cups COLD milk
  • 1 (3.9 oz pkg) chocolate INSTANT pudding
  • 1 (3.4 oz pkg) vanilla INSTANT pudding
  • chopped nut, mini chocolate chips, chocolate curls or whatever
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften. Then press down into an ungreased 13″ × 9″ baking pan
Bake at 350 for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack BE SURE IT IS COLD BEFORE NEXT STEPS
  2. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese & confectioner’s sugar until smooth, Fold in 1-3/4 cups Cool Whip and spread over COLD Crust
  3. In large mixing bowl, whisk milk with both puddings together for 2 minutes for until soft set. Spread over cream cheese layer
  4. Top with balance of Cool Whip
  5. Sprinkle with nuts, chips or your liking for top
  6. Be creative, change the refrigerated dough and then change pudding to go with dough
  7. Cover and refrigerate over night

  • My mom used to make this when I was a kid. I'm so excited for the recipe as I had totally forgotten about it! You have to refigerate it overnight or it won't cut to get it out of the pan - too soft.

  • Is it necessary to refrigerate it overnight before you eat it? What's the consistency like right after you make it vs. overnight refrigeration?
