<introduction>

Growing up on a farm in Kentucky every year during harvest time we would have an abundance of fresh vegetables the we canned, creamed, froze, ate and gave away. One of my favorite vegetable recipes was my grandmother’s fried corn. This is a favorite for Summer’s end BBQ side dish.

 <instructions>

Cut Fresh Corn from the cob. Scrape the knife blade down each husk to get all the corn and juices. A Bundt Pan works well for cutting the kernals from the cob by resting the cob end in the hole on the bundt pan. Set the corn aside.

Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook Bacon until crisp, remove from skillet and drain on paper towel. Add onion and peppers and saute for approximately 3 minutes. Add Garlic and stir to prevent burning. Add the Corn Kernals, Red Pepper Flakes and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Sprinkle with Sugar and cook until the Corn begins to carmalize.
