Sake Mignonette Recipe

This is a nice twist on the classic champagne mignonette. It is fantastic on oysters as an alternative to cocktail sauce. It really enhances the natural flavors.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 Tbs Chopped Shallots
  • 1/4 Cup Sake
  • 1/4 Cup Rice Vinegar
  • Black Pepper to Taste
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Chop shallots finely and rinse with cold water in strainer to crisp and remove bitter taste.
  2. Boil Sake on stove or in a cup in the microwave to remove the alcohol. Set aside to cool.
  3. Combine all ingredients and refrigerate before serving.
  4. Optional Enhancement: Freeze in ice cream maker and serve as a slush or granita.
