Kumquat Caipirinha Recipe

The restaurant Angèle in Napa Valley is where locals go for satisfying French fare, but its creative cocktails, including this Kumquat Caipirinha, are not to be missed.

INGREDIENTS
  • 5 kumquats
  • 4 sugar cubes
  • 4 ounces cachaça
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 1 medium lime)
  • 1 cup ice
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine kumquats and sugar cubes in a cocktail shaker and muddle until kumquats are broken up and sugar is beginning to dissolve.
  2. Add cachaça, lime juice, and ice, and shake to combine. Pour into an Old Fashioned glass and serve.
