Bicerin Recipe

Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: 10 mins | Active Time: |

If you ever been to Torino, you eard about “bicerin” that stands in piedmontes for “small glass”. Basically it is chocolate, coffee (Lavazza that is the famoust coffee firm in Torino),sugar and a cream of milk (like the one you may know for capuccino).
It was invented in the XIX century and it is still served in most of the bars in Torino.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/3 or an espresso cup of coffe (Lavazza made with a coffee pot "caffettiera")
  • 1/3 of hot chocolate
  • 1/3 of milk
  • sugar based on your taste
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. First of all I suggest to make the hot chocolate, if you do not have a “pre-made” one you can do it on your own (http://www.chow.com/recipes/11081).
  2. to prepare the milk cream, if you have the espresso machine at home you may use the pressure directly, but if you havent you may use milk direcytly..the use of milk cream is just to give and extra look fo style..but warm the milk anyway before serving.
  3. make the coffee with the coffee pot thant when it’s done, put in the glass the ingredients in this order, sugar, coffee (mix everthing), than using a spoon in the glass let the chocolate slide on topo of coffee and at the end the milk (if you have the cream slid it on top).
