poppy seeds cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS
  • dough: 200 gr' melted butter, 1 small pck (2.5 cups approx.) self rising flour and 1 yugurt 0% fat
  • filling: 200 gr' poppyseeds, 3/4 cup milk, 50 gr' butter, 2 peeled and grated (coarse) green apples, 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (or white) , 1.5 tabs regular flour
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Mix dough ingredients (dough) well and insert into fridge to be cooled.
  2. Put in a small pot filling ingredients and cook until smooth.Taste for sweetness, add more sugar if needed.
  3. Of course you can add raisins if you like it . I don’t.
  4. Take out dough and roll , doesnt have to be thin or nice trimming (as you can see in the pic) and spread filling on dough. Roll and insert into a pre-heated oven, 180C / 360F.
