Mint "Limonata" Recipe

By
Mint “Limonata”
Difficulty: Easy | Total Time: Under 5 mins | Makes: 1 drink

San Pellegrino’s citrus-flavored sodas offer real refreshment during the hot summer months, so we decided to re-create the taste of the lemon-flavored Limonata with this cocktail. Yes, limoncello is served most commonly as an after-dinner treat, but try it in this cocktail for a refreshing twist.

What to buy: Caravella limoncello is a nicely balanced version widely available in the States. It’s good for sipping as well as for cooking and making cocktails.

INGREDIENTS
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 ounces limoncello
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 2 ounces soda water
  • 2 medium mint leaves, torn in half
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice and add the limoncello and vodka. Shake to combine.
  2. Add the soda water and stir to mix in. Pour into a rocks glass and top with the torn mint leaves.

  • "Mint Limonata" means a "soft" drink made by lemon juice, sugar, water, mint leves, some orange juice and lemon pieces in Turkey.

  • This sounds delicious. I have tried a similar recipe, however instead of Vodka I used TY KU Soju. It is a healthier alternative and also gives it a more refreshing taste. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are trying to cut back on calories from drinking.

  • This was a nice, refreshing drink on a day where the temps soared to the uncomfortable mid 70's. I like the cocktail glass that's featured.
