Concord Grape Martini Recipe
This drink was concocted in order to find an alcoholic use for my favorite juice. As it turns out, the syrupy, pure grape flavor of Concords blends perfectly with aromatic gin.
What to buy: Look for pure, unsweetened Concord grape juice. We especially like R.W. Knudsen’s Just Juice line.
While any dry gin is suitable, this cocktail is exceptionally tasty when made with Distillery No. 209 or Hendrick’s.
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened Concord grape juice
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 3 whole grapes for garnish, preferably Concord (optional)
- Pour gin, grape juice, and bitters into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until well chilled, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with skewered grapes.
According to Jimmy Buffett this is called a "Purple Passion."
It is good though
