Ginger-Infused Vodka Recipe
Infusing vodka with fresh ginger lends extra spice to all your favorite vodka drinks. We especially like it in our Ginger Bloody Mary or in a Clear Ginger Cosmopolitan. The homemade stuff trumps any flavored vodka you’d buy in a store.
This recipe was featured as part of our DIY Holiday Gifts Advent Calendar.
- 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
- 1 (750 milliliter) bottle unflavored vodka
- Add ginger to vodka. Allow to infuse at minimum overnight.
Note: You may strain out the ginger if you like, but we found that it’s easiest to simply leave it in the bottle.

Sounds so delicious! Any tips on what to mix with other than sodawater?
I just get ginger candy and rinse all the sugar off and let that sit. I know it's cooler to use fresh ginger, but..... CANDY!!!!
Sounds like heaven! Will do it and report back!
can't you chop the root in discs so that it's easier to get out, and doesn't leave any residue?
