Ginger-Infused Vodka

TIME/SERVINGS

Total: Under 5 mins, plus 1 to 2 days for infusing

Active: Under 5 mins

Makes: 1 (750 milliliter) bottle

From: Ford's Filling Station , by Adapted from Brian McGrory

Infusing vodka with fresh ginger lends extra spice to all your favorite vodka drinks. We especially like it in our Ginger Bloody Mary or in a Clear Ginger Cosmopolitan. The homemade stuff trumps any flavored vodka you’d buy in a store.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle unflavored vodka
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Add ginger to vodka. Allow to infuse at minimum overnight.

Note: You may strain out the ginger if you like, but we found that it’s easiest to simply leave it in the bottle.

This recipe, while from a trusted source, may not have been tested by the CHOW food team.

Now this sounds interesting!! Gonna try it and will def. leave a review.

Love this, and have been buying extra fifths to have it on hand!

can't you chop the root in discs so that it's easier to get out, and doesn't leave any residue?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
