Sounds like a lot of beef bouillon. I will try it, with my Absolut Bloodies.
Thanks, Chow
I love my spicy bloody marys. I use a shot and a half of vodka, half of shot of olive juice, couple of shakes of worchestershire sauce, about 10 shakes of tabasco, pepper then fill up the glass with spicy V-8 juice and add 5 olives. All of my friends just love it and so do I.
im looking for a recipe like the bloody bull at Pappadeaux Seafood restaurants. thanks
2-to-1 beef broth to vodka, Tabasco, Worchestershire Sauce. I usually do mine with ice in the shaker and pour into a highball glass with either a parsley sprig or celery. That way it doesn't sieze up, unlike the version served on the rocks.
Bullshot? Is this just beef broth and vodka?
The problem with using real beef stock is the gelatin. It coagulates when it gets cold leaving the drink a gloppy mess. Monkey Erotica - if you actually have used real beef stock please let us know how to prevent this from happening. I would love to fix my recipe.
It's a sipping drink, like a bloody mary/bloody bull; something for the adults to linger over lazy Sunday brunches or by the pool or barbecues, with the aroma of burgers and steaks in the air.
If you're not up for the beefy flavor, a local bar does a wicked Bacon Mary: basically a bloody mary with a crispy strip of bacon for a swizzle stick.
silly question, but - bull shot - is it something to sip on or something to something to "shoot"
Bullshots rule.
Bloody Bulls rule!
Lose the tomato juice and double the bouillon and you'd have a decent bullshot. Actually, replace the bouillon (too salty) with real beef stock or canned beef consomme or even Bovril. Bullshots are a great drink to have while you're prepping your charcoal for the backyard grill.
