Almond Butter and Apricot Jam on Sourdough Recipe
This AB&J is a slightly more refined version of the classic PB&J. If you are eating it right away, try it toasted so that the almond butter melts into the jam!
This recipe was featured in our Cubicle Cuisine story.
- 2 (1/2-inch-thick) slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 2 teaspoons apricot jam
- Spread almond butter on one slice of bread and apricot jam on the other. Close the sandwich and enjoy!
I'm all for almond butter and moreover for good jam (Stonewall Kitchen) But this is a silly recipe...
Mmm almond butter! I say throw the apples on the sammich, like Nicole said. Gives it a nice crunch.
My favorite winter time sandwich is almond butter, apple butter, sliced apples, cinnamon and drizzle of honey on any good bakery bread.
PB&J on sourdough is a highly-underrated combo and apricot is one of the best pairings with it. Bravo!
my new favorite sandwich! easy to make at work and love it with the sourdough toasted.
