Poultry Seasoning Recipe

It probably comes as no surprise that poultry seasoning is used for seasoning poultry, especially roast chicken and turkey. This recipe makes a basic American-style blend.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons rubbed sage
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon dried savory
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of cloves
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine 2 tablespoons rubbed sage, 1 tablespoon dried thyme, 1 tablespoon dried marjoram, 1 tablespoon dried savory, 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, and a pinch of cloves.

  • Perfect amount for my spice jar. I replaced the savory with rosemary and the cloves w/ nutmeg which made it indicernable from the store-bought version I used to buy. Used it in my cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving and was perfect. -thanks
