This is definately a keeper with a few tweaks. Used large shrimp..they were on sale. Skewered them with toothpicks so they were easy to dip in the sesame seeds. They were perfectly baked at 5 minutes. Took lots of advice from past reviews....doubled the sesame seed mixture and only had about a teaspoon left over, doubled the sauce but only added 1 teaspoon soy sauce so it wasn't too salty, and also did not add salt to the sesame seeds. Delicious and easy app!

Shrimp were great!! I followed the recipe using large shrimp from Wegmans. Sauce was a little gummy. Next time, I might skip the mayonnaise and use a little rice wine vinegar instead. I will definately make the shrimp again.

This looks great, but I am not a fan of shrimp, could I substitute chicken instead and use the same sauce?

  • With minor changes, this recipe would be a winner. I would fix it with olive oil, use parsley and/or basil instead of the cilantro, and skip the soy sauce. Cilantro has been so overdone that I can scarcely stand the taste of it. About 35 years ago a half a teaspoon of the freshly chopped herb would flavor a dish for four people. Now people use. Shrimp are already naturally salty, and we all eat too much salt.

  • This is a delicious, easy dish to make, although I would recommend adding a little less soy sauce to the cilantro-lime dip, since the shrimp is already salted. My husband stated the dip was good, but too salty. The sesame, cilantro and lime and a very complimentary balance in this recipe. I would definitely serve it again.

  • We loved this dish. My husband found the sauce addicting. This is definitely a keeper and will score lots of compliments at the next party!

  • This dish was very easy to make and easy to impress. I found the sauce to be a little disappointing. The mayonnaise overwhelms the cilantro.

  • Super easy!

The only thing i would say is double the amount of the sesame seed mixture since you may run out.

The sauce is amazing and even my cilantro-loathing husband liked it.
