Hoot Mon Recipe

Difficulty: Easy | Makes: 1 drink

Scottish whisky receives a little European sophistication.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 ounces Scotch
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 1 ounce Lillet
  • Twist of lemon peel
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Shake the Scotch, vermouth, and Lillet with ice; then strain over ice into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

  • We tried it with Bourbon, Lillet Blanc, Sweet Vermouth, and a little orange liqueur and it was great!

  • Can't speak for the poster, but I would guess it would be the blanc. And I can imagine this is a tasty cocktail. Smoky, sharp Scotch with the addition of fruit and acidity. Would likely work with Bourbon as well.

  • That could depend on whether you are using Lillet Blonde or Lillet Rouge. Which is it???
