INGREDIENTS
- Wedge of lime and salt for rimming
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1/2 ounce peppermint schnapps
- 1 tablespoon fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar or simple syrup
- Wedge of lime
INSTRUCTIONS
- Rim an old-fashioned glass with lime and salt, and chill briefly. Shake the tequila, schnapps, grapefruit juice, and sugar with ice; then strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

I agree with betterbatter. I was so excited to see grapefruit juice and tequila...the peppermint schnapps totally blew it for me. I think I'll alter this, use a little more grapefruit juice than they did and maybe some cointreau or grand marnier. And forget the simple syrup, but go with some lemon-lime soda.
Years ago I invented a drink I call "recreational medicine": a big glass of grapefruit juice over ice, with 2 or 3 oz of tequila. Refreshing and delicious, full of vitamin C, and the tequila makes you not much care about what's ailing you.
peppermint schnapps does not sound good
