INGREDIENTS
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- Dash of bitters
- Twist of orange peel
INSTRUCTIONS
- Stir the gin, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail glass, and garnish with orange peel.
Variations
Gin and French: Substitute French vermouth for the sweet vermouth.

The bitters are optional. Good Vermouth is fairly bitter. Try it with Campari (probably the most bitter red vermouth) Chinato is even better but more expensive.
no, it's a martini. what's more, it's a classic martini. originally a 'dry' martini was specified as such because it contained dry vermouth not sweet. it had nothing to do with amount of gin. aside from the orange peel, this is a classic martini, through and through.
So, it's a Negroni without the Compari?
