1 drink
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ounce sloe gin
- 1 ounce gin
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- Cold club soda
- Slice of lemon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Shake the sloe gin, gin, and lemon juice with ice; then strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
- Add club soda to fill, and garnish with a lemon slice.

You're right, JK, there's no way this image can be correct for a sloe gin fizz, as sloe gin, a gin-based liqueur infused with berries, is red. This is the correct image associated with the recipe in Rob Chirico's Field Guide to Cocktails, where there recipe is from, but we're going to go ahead and delete it. It's misleading! Thanks for pointing it out!
How on earth did a sloe gin fizz come out white? Judging by the recipe's hyperlinks, someone thought that you could substitute regular gin for sloe gin. I would expect such a mistake from only rookie bartenders, and even then it's a mistake they would make only once.
