Bourbonella Recipe

We may never know whether this nearly forgotten drink from the 1970s was named for the character Barbarella, but it is way out there.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce curaçao
  • 1/2 ounce grenadine
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Shake all ingredients well with ice; then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

  • Dammit, I didn't want to like because of the sillines of the name, but I just stirred one up (with Buffalo Trace and orange curacao)...quite easy to drink.
