Thanks, coll. You're a doll. Sure seems easy enough. I think my Mom will cry tears of joy.

Easy appetizer help..fast!

Ever tried Hammy Roll-ups? Mix your favorite blue cheese (I use Danish bleu) with 8 oz. Neufchatel Cream Cheese (room temperature) to taste. Spread on somewhat thickly sliced boiled ham slices - about 1 oz.slices. (1/2 lb. of ham yields 8 slices.) Place whole scallion (cleaned and trimmed to size) at edge of each spread-covered ham slice and roll-up length-wise. Wrap each roll-up in aluminum foil and refrigerate till ready to serve. Slice cross-wise into rounds (1/4" thick) before serving. Elegant and delicious.

Has anyone ever heard of Tomato Soup Cake? It was made by my great-great Aunt and apparently came from a soup can label. I'd love to try to revive a memory for my Mom. Thanks, Hounds.

Pier 11

Meeting my cousins from NJ at Pier 17 for lunch. We will do the "city thing" all day and would like to sup somewhere near their departure (Pier 11). Any suggestions on things unusual, tasty and otherwise not pricey?

Recommendation for a winery with food near Tanger Outlets?

How far east are you willing to go? Drive another half hour and go to Soundview Inn. It's on the water (duh!), seafood specials ROCK and they have an assortment of local wines on their menu - plus you will be passing most of the major vineyards along the way (for quaffing, of course!)

EAST PATCHOGUE?

Meeting my sis right off Hospital Road in East Patchogue. Would like to take her to lunch. She is new to the neighborhood and I'm a "ciddy" girl. What's good in the world of seafood? any food? anything near the shore? We're totally flexible but LOVE calemari done right. Thanks to all.

Lunch near Museum of Natural History

Any suggestions for a "kid friendly" lunch spot near MNH. Got some out of towners here today. The two adults would LOVE to be able to get a glass of wine (or two!). Also - anyone know if China de Puebla (new on B'way/125th) is open for lunch? Thx.

Quick! Where should they go???

My relatives are in from South Florida and are finally able to get away from the two toddlers for a short respite. They LOVE NYC and almost never get here. They'll be at theater tonite and a short time in city tomorrow morning/afternoon. Recommendations for new and trendy - dinner or lunch would be appreciated. Staying in the Times Square area would be great.

Greek Dish for Father's Day

Thanks, span. I was hoping for a little more info, i.e. is there a particular Greek-style lamb dish served with orzo to which my Dad was referring? Barring that, any good ideas for marinades for chops on the grill?

Greek Dish for Father's Day

I asked Dad (of Greek descent) what his favorite dish was so I could make it for Father's Day. I was surprised when he said lamb with orzo (something his yaya probably made for him). He could not be more specific. So what is it? Lamb shanks? Lamb chops? Souvlakia? How is the orzo prepared? Any ideas would be very helpful.

Help!!! My Darien dad needs a romantic restaurant to take Mom for their 40th wedding anniversary!!!!

Has Dad considered a dinner cruise? I don't know if World Yacht has access at a Connecticut port but it is romantic, the dinner is pretty decent and there is music and dancing...all while you float around the Hudson or possibly Long Island Sound. Check out cruises in his area.
