Depends. Roast tenderloin or lamb kebabs for meat-eaters, grilled white fish with tomatillo sauce or marinated vegetable kebabs for non-meat eaters
My favorite comfort food:
Mac and cheese and homemade sloppy Joe's, not the gross stuff from a can. It's a childhood thing. Or homemade cheese or chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce.

Claudia Roden's The Book of Middle Eastern Food, JOC. I don't use many cookbooks anymore.
