Indian or other fab food near a Northern Line stop (London)
Thanks all - the more central to northern end of the Northern Line... I should have said so...
Indian or other fab food near a Northern Line stop (London)
My husband wants Indian food when we come to London, but we need to entertain a relative who, due to time constraints, asked that we pick a place on the Northern Line. Have read all the posts and all the best places, Indian or otherwise, seem to be somewhere else altogether. Any recommendations? Indian preferred but not absolutely totally required. Thanks in advance for helping me out of this dilemma:)
Sunday Brunch in Carroll Gardens
Try La Lunetta on Smith Street, near Bar Tabac. We had their eggs - with potatoes, grilled bread, a brunch cocktail, bacon and it was the best I've ever had of that sort of breakfast. Loads of other things too - but very solid on the classic egg breakfast.
Best Wine Shop in Brooklyn
Heights Chateau is excellent - the more you know about what you like the more they can help you. The people are friendly, knowledgeable and interested in getting you interested in wine. They are also really good in the $9-$15 price range and are happy to help with the less expensive wines - no highbrow stuff from them!
foreign guests want "local" cuisine
I have colleagues from Europe who want "local" cuisine when here in Manhattan. One is vegetarian so barbeque seems out. Any good ideas for Southern food - or better ideas of "local"?
