I have a friend who is traveling to Savannah and looking for some suggestions on where to eat. The only option on her list right now is The Lady & Sons. Any better suggestions? |

Am I crazy for thinking that Magnolia cupcakes suck? who does the best cupcake with French or Italian Buttercream? Not a fan of American Buttercream at all - yuck! |

I recently watched a show on the cooking channel where the host visited a bunch of NY pizza places trying to decide what he would combine to make the best. Of course he visited Grimaldi's, Totonno's and I think he also hit DiFara's, but there was another one he visited I think it was either wood or coal oven, thin crust with a good char on it, anyone know where I'm talking about? ----- Di Fara Pizza Totonno's Pizzeria Napolitano |

Ok, I decided to take my chances and go to Golden Unicorn despite everyone's misgivings. Maybe its because I am a complete newbie to Dim Sum, but I enjoyed everything I had. If this is bad dim sum, I can't imagine what good dim sum is like. |

sorry for the long wait for a reply. You can get peach or flesh tone food coloring at NY Cake and Baking Supply or any craft store that sells Wilton products. Wilton is now calling their flesh tone "copper" |

The reason I'm going it alone is I'm coming into town on a bus with a group, many of which are going to the Titanic Exhibit, which I'm not going to. They aren't very adventurous anyway. I have had pork buns and steamed dumplings, which I love. I'm looking forward to trying the turnip cake, but don't think I could do the chicken feet (I have and aversion to the skin/fat thing) I'm figuring I could try a few different things since I will be walking a lot and this will most likely be my big meal for the day. I'm really torn between dim sum, or falafal at Taim. |

|
I've never gone for Dim Sum before and I am really excited to try it. I will be going by myself however, will this be a problem? |
|
|
hmmm...can you give me some more insight and maybe a better suggestion? |

I'm going to be in town on December 5th, and have decided to try Golden Unicorn from what I have read on here. I have to questions. ----- |

I'm guessing you want Caucasian flesh tone color, correct? Because flesh tone can go from a peach tone to a dark chocolate, depending on what we are talking about here. |

its not truly "raw" it is tempered in hot sugar to "cook" it, almost in the way hollandaise sauce is. |

I just had the most amazing BBQ I have ever tasted. It was life changing. There were two guys with a smoker grill set up in a pharmacy parking lot in Wilkes-Barre, PA, I know they have a catering company, and I know the area code was 215. I remember the name began with a B, but unfortunately, that's all I remember. It was a one day event, and it was so good, I would travel 2 hours to get some more of that. Can anyone help me out? |

Has anyone seen the menus different places are offering for restaurant week? Last year, I was able to locate them, but I can't seem to find them this year. |
|
|
Best pick for Restaurant Week Lunch? I am planning to make a special trip into the city for lunch during restaurant week. In your opinion, which restaurant would provide the most memorable experience? I'm pretty open to cuisine, although I'd like to avoid Asian/Indian/Mexican. I would like a more upscale experience as opposed to a casual place. Somewhere I most likely wouldn't be able to go if it wasn't restaurant week. |

Cooper's Seafood in Pittston PA If this is the area you are going to be in, then I will recommend it, but I will say, the Scranton location is better. They are known for their crab bisque. |

Review - Bobby Flay's Steak - AC, NJ We tried Bobby Flay Steak for a late dinner after the John Pinette show on Saturday. We has an 11:00 reservation. We arrived at 10:47 and after a short wait, we we seated. I was surprised how crowded the restaurant was that late at night, but there wasn't a seat in the house. I had no problem making a decision. I ordered the Grouper with white clam sauce. My sister on the other hand had a tough time deciding. She wanted lobster, but an 8 oz tail was $48. The whole lobsters which started at 3 pounds were $28/lb, so she chose the bone in ribeye cooked medium with the wild mushroom mashed potatoes. I chose the cauliflower goat cheese gratin as my side. Our bread basket was noting like yours. We had a few slices of rosemary scented bread, which although it was very good, it was just fancy italian bread. When our dinners came, I was surprised at the size of the steak. It looked like a Fred Flintstone steak. It was literally the size of the plate, and perfectly cooked. My Grouper portion, although it appeared tiny, was perfectly cooked with the tiniest clams-in-the-shell I've ever seen. They were so tender though, they were difficult to pick up with your fork. The potatoes were delicious, but I thought my cauliflower was better. My only complaint was it wasn't cooked evenly. some pieces were cooked to mush, while others were practically |

Has anyone been to The Bacchanal ? I've seen it on the Caesar's website, but it doesn't give much info like menu and price other that $$$$ |

I didn't know they had a Sterling Brunch in AC, I thought only in Vegas. If they do, I'm there! |
|
|
I'm heading to AC on Memorial Day weekend and looking for a memorable Sunday brunch. I used to enjoy the one in Trump Taj Mahal, but I haven't been there in at least 10 years and I don't even know if it still exists. |

I have had my GE Profile Dual Wall Ovens for over 10 years and have never had a single problem with them. The top oven is regular/convection and the lover oven is just regular. They are both self cleaning. The only complaint I have is they are a little small. My large Calphalon roaster doesn't fit, not does my largest sheet cake pan, so I would suggest taking your cookware to make sure it fits. |

Spag's is now Cork, haven't been there yet, but definitely want to try it. Thai Thai was excellent, but the medium food I ordered was so hot my gums were burning. 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 deserts came to $120 so I don't know if I would call that reasonable for NEPA, but it was very good. |

I have been hearing so many raves about the sweetbreads at Babbo, I have to ask, what do they taste like? I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but deal breakers for me tend to be texture. I don't like food with fat on it, in fact if I accidentaly get any fat in my mouth, I'm finished eating, and texture can also be a problem. For example, I love calamari and octopus, but can't do tripe. I love chopped liver but can't do liver itself because of texture and marrow is an absoulte no. So, can anyone describe sweetbreads for me? |

You have just killed me with this link!!! OMG they look amazing!! |

Payard's pastries are better than sex! A true "When Harry Met Sally" moment! |

Buffet with the best seafood in Vegas? I am a HUGE seafood fan and completely disagree about the quality of the Bellagio. Aside from the first piece of salmon I had, everything was horribly overcooked. We went at 4PM when everything should have been at its freshest. If you are really a seafood lover, skip the buffet and go to a nice seafood restaurant where the food is cooked to order. At $30/pp, I would not recommend the Bellagio and after our experience there, I was afreid to try the Wynn. |

Kitchen cabinets-quote that almost gave me a heart attack! I did my kitchen in stock Merilat cabinets about 10 years ago in maple an I spent over $10000 . Mind you, at this price I got solid fronts and laninate sides, so If you are going with anything custom and solid wood throughout, you are probably in the right ballpark. |
|

Ok, I'm a pretty adventurous eater with one problem - texture. What exactly is the texture of sweetbreads like? It is the only thing keeping me from trying them. |

Apple Pie in Center City Philly Thank You!!! |

Apple Pie in Center City Philly A few years ago I was shopping with a friend when we passed this little shop with pies in the window that had to be about 10 inches high. I was told they were especially known for their pie. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place, or even what street it was on. All I can remember is that it was somewhere in the vicinity of Pine St, since we were shopping at Halloween, the jewelry store. |
