Just opened in old Coffea space at 3218 Dauphine...fresh squeezed organic juices, great salads (i.e. shaved fennel and grapefruit with champagne vin) and sandwiches (i.e. turkey, avocado, peashoots, shaved parm). Nice alternative if you're looking for something healthy! 7am-3pm everyday except Tuesday...beautiful space and great service. |

Best Restaurant Dessert currently in New Orleans I second the goat cheese creme fraiche. An outstanding dessert by the greatest pastry chef in New Orleans. |

Yikes. Hadn't been there for brunch in a few months so I was looking forward this treat since I rarely have off on Sundays. Went later in the day and the place was only about half filled so I was rather excited about not having to wait too long for food. Mistake #1. We waited 30 minutes for and omelet and another brunch entree. My omelet was fried! I mean dead. I mean thoroughly cooked and then cooked some more. My friend's entree had poached eggs and they were hard as rocks. It was as though our food had been under the heat lamp for 20 minutes. I was so unbeliveably disappointed. The service was very friendly and efficient but unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can say. What is going on?? |

I completely agree. it is a reasonable expectation to see a well-rounded wine list anywhere that entrees cost above $30. I don't want to see 50% of the wine list on the shelves at Sav-A-Center. Good wine is NOT hard to get at all. |

I went several weeks ago and it was mixed for me. The escargot was SO bland that I almost dreaded my main course. It was quite a relief when my bouillabaisse was beyond flavorful with the perfect amount of richness. Service was good but the wine list was HORRIBLE. Guess it just depends on what you get. |

I'm telling you, Surrey's is where it's at. Coffee is great, it's quick, fresh squeezed juice (can you say orange-mango something? YUM!), and it's got healthy options that don't suck like homemade granola and a tofu breakfast. I probably shouldn't be enticing everyone to go there because it is quite small and I hate waiting. ;) |

Herbsaint. Lilette and Iris are better, though. |

Check out Surrey's on Magazine Street. Quite a refreshing change from the greasy spoons. |
