Gift Cert for Foodie New Parents?

hello-
i'm not familiar with the DC dining scene (but if anyone wants Boston suggestions, i'm happy to return the favor)- would like to send take out gift certificate(s) to family in Arlington who just had a new baby. They are serious foodies (ie. have conquered all of Thomas Keller's cookbooks in a 5 star manner!), so would love to send them one or more certificates to some seriously yummy places (doesn't need to be fancy necessarily, just delicious). i think they are pretty adventurous.
Thanks in advance!

Ryles Jazz Brunch w/ Toddler?

Hi all-
Wondering if bringing a 2.5 year old to the Ryles Jazz Brunch would be ok? She's quite well behaved, and I thought it would be a nice father's day outing, but have never been so not sure of the scene.
Thanks!

48 Hours to Eat in Toronto

Hi-
My husband and I are heading to Toronto for a mini-vacation... what can't we miss? We have 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and will be staying either at Soho Met or Hyatt, so anything w/in walking distance of those places is great (but if further away, that's ok too). High on our list are (i) best high end food experience, and (ii) best Trinidadian roti.

Thank you from Boston!

Saturday Brunch?

What's your favorite place for brunch (or at least a nice leisurely breakfast) on a Saturday?
Thanks!

Marinated olives? (moroccan, especially!)

Where is your favorite place to pick up marinated olives? And does anyone have a favorite spot for moroccan marinated olives in particular (hot peppers, lemon, bay leaf i think... other magical spices i'm sure)? Just back from a trip to Morocco and dying to find what was a staple of our diet at pretty much every meal......

Thank you!

Top 3 Places for Calamari?

Kingfish Hall. To die for. Worth it even if the rest of your meal stinks, I swear!

Best place to reserve a lounge/bar w/ good apps/drinks?

Hi-
I am planning on throwing my husband a surprise bday party on a Sat, night in late July- would love any recs on the best place to reserve part of a lounge/bar for 20-40 people. Good appetizers/munchies are a must, as are great drinks. I will happily supply the food, but would have people take care of their own libations.... My initial plan was the Lounge at 33, but $2000 minimum out of my pocket nixed that. (I don't mind spending $1200 or so, this is a once in a lifetime blowout for him!) Also thinking Match, but haven't heard back from them and might be too loud and a little over the top....
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Visiting from boston, help!

Myhusband and i will be visiting montreal in 2 weeks, from Fri-Monday. Our daughter will be 2.5 months at that point, and I'm looking for dining recommendations- would like some excellent French (and any other) food at places where we can bring our baby without raising too many eyebrows. She's still in the "sleeps anywhere" phase so I expect she will be quiet, and we would absolutely bring her outside if she had a meltdown- but would like to have some quality dining experiences. Toque out of the question probably- but what about going there for lunch? What about Brunoise, L'Express, Pinxto, LCCP, APDC? Or are those "infant adverse"? Any other recommendations? Also, we are staying at Hotel Nelligan- any views on Verses, the in-house restaurant?

Thanks in advance!
