one day and night in boston. what's the best without breaking the bank?
i will be in boston all day sunday and am looking for a great lunch and dinner spot. i would prefer a casual lunch spot that isn't touristy, but just great local food. location isn't really important, but i'm staying off boston commons.
for dinner, i am looking for something mid-ranged in price. something italian, bistro or seafood would be great. again, no tourist spots. just somewhere that has great food. i haven't been to boston in years, so i'm at a loss. please help! thank you!

best of SF - need help
I will be in SF in a few weeks from Saturday to Tuesday. I want to fill every meal with an awesome restaurant. I've done a lot of research on the board and here's what I've come up with so far:
Boulette's Larder (breakfast)
Mamasita's
Globe
Range
Bar Tartine
Boulevard
Delfina
Incanto
A16
Azizza
I don't want the super high-end Gary Danko type places. I'm very happy to spend the $$ but if i do, i want to be blown away. Any other suggestions would be great. Generally, I want the food to be amazing, fun/lively atmosphere - but i love all kinds of food, so price/type/ etc. are not as important. Also, any other lunch or breakfast spots would be much appreciated. We are staying near the civic center, but will travel anywhere. Thank you so much for your help.
Charlotte- Customshop or Carpe Diem
went to customshop. it was good. not great. i like the atmosphere a lot. it was a lot more affordable than i would have thought. we ordered several different things to try as much as we could. the hashbrowns were great. the brocoli rabe was ok. we had a meat plate that was good (but you can't really screw that up). we had a whole red snapper that was ok, but overcooked. i can't remember what else. the menu doesn't scream at you as being so yummy and appealing. but, i would go back to try other things. i think it is still working out the kinks.
Charlotte- Customshop or Carpe Diem
I have not eaten at either restaurant and have reservations at both for Saturday night. Which is better food, more fun, better atmosphere? I've heard great things about both. Please advise. Thank you!
Good Brunch spot in Charlotte
Eddie's is great. john's country kitchen is suppose to be good, too - on central ave. a little outside of uptown
