30 Burgers - Red Bank

Haven't seen any mention here, so I thought throw it out there, in the old Muscle Maker Grill location. Their Facebook page says they open tomorrow (Tues. 02/18). Had the burgers at 25 Burgers in Brick a couple times and I have to say they're at least worth checking out.

Puglia in Red Bank

Just noticed it last weekend, no idea when it opened. Picked up a menu (below) but haven't tried it yet. It's in the old Red Bank Pizza location, in fact Red Bank Pizza signage is still on the building.

Thank you! What an incredible resource you guys are! Now, if anyone knows of a comparable chili that would really complete the deal, lol!

Can anyone remember the name of the Mexican restaurant (or the one prior) that was in the building before Nicholas (in Middletown)? They made some awesome chili.

Cheesesteaks in the Mon/OC

I must be honest and admit that we normally order our cheesesteaks with mozzarella which I know is not a true 'Philly cheesesteak'. My apologies for not specifying that. I can't specifically say if they serve 'wiz, I suspect not. Nonetheless, IMO, I think it's the best I've had locally. To provide a little more detail, Pat's chops there steak and onions (and peppers if you order them) together on the grill as opposed to layering processed steak slices and onions/peppers on a roll.

Cheesesteaks in the Mon/OC

Have tried cheesesteaks from Main St Cheesesteaks in Belmar (very average) to Willy's in Red Bank (extremely disappointing, since closed) to Guido's in Eatontown (one of the better ones close to home). By far my favorite has to be from Pat's Pizza & Subs, Rt 88, Pt Pleasant Boro. If ever I'm nearby, I'll usually find an opportunity to bring a couple home, even if for dinner the next day.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries coming to Red Bank

Sigh... Agreed. Is it really too much to ask for decent quality meat that doesn't need to be literally cooked to death and a cook skilled enough to be able to cook to order?

I guess it's another indication that I'm too old because I remember pride in a exceptional product and customer service to boot! This age's business model: lowest quality ingredients yielding an average (at best) product presented by minimum-wage workers giving the highest possible profit margin to the investors.

Another establishment destined for mediocrity at best or, more likely, failure. My bet: gone in 2 yrs.

Rant = Off, Apologies = On

Edit: No disrespect meant to minimum-wage wage earners, only meant to illustrate that profit is highest on the list of priorities.

A brief mention in Red Bank Green, coming to the former Zebu Forno location. Anybody have any experience with this chain? Are they another "Five Guys" style joint - eat our burgers well-done or don't bother coming!?

Been to the one in Freehold a couple times. Can't say anything bad about the place, not a hot dog aficionado so can't give an educated opinion. Interesting topping opttions. The best I can say is that it's definately worth going, giving 'em a try and forming your own opinion. Apologies for the lack of an in depth review.

Sweet and southern-New BBQ restaurant in Oakhurst

Just finished some takeout from here and the best I can say is: "Meh." Which is unfortunate, if this review was strictly based on the sides it would be better. We ordered the fried chicken meal for three and an add-on of a pound of smoked beef brisket.

First the good: my wife said the baked beans were "out-of-this-world", the mac & cheese was tasty, a little on the oily side with numerous cheeses in it. The coleslaw was coarsely chopped, very creamy and kind of sweet, almost... marshmellowy.

The not-so-good: the family meal for three was described on the phone as "1 whole chicken" - two each of legs, thighs, breasts and wings. Not an overabundance of food, a fairly small bird with the stingiest breasts I've ever seen. The chicken was overcooked, thighs tough, breasts dry and had little or no seasoning.

The "smoked beef brisket" (sliced) while fork tender had no smoke flavor whatsoever and little other flavor. Even the end slices I ate had no seasoning. While I'm in no way claiming that it was cooked this way it kind of reminded me of boiled meat.

Tired of the local Chicken Kitchen, in between KFC's and just a little too far for a quick evening meal from Belmar and Asbury I had high hopes for some different fried chicken. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

Breakfast, ME, Saturday morning I95 State line to and incl Lewiston/Auburn Recommendations please

Three adults plus 1 - boisterous 9 month old. Don't want to go to far off the beaten path. Would rather not go the standard Perkins/IHOP route but open to any exceptional suggestions. I know there are a few places in Portland that people seem to recommend but I don't want to stray that far off the path. Thanks very much in advance!
