Zon's -- finally

Yum, I'll have to try the squash and steak next time. Zon's is about a 5 minute walk from where I live and it has definitely become a regular dinner place for us. Try their drinks, I like the Stormy Weather: citrus rum, ginger beer and a splash of coke. They use Goya ginger beer. The Zon's burger is great; it's big, juicy, has a nice roasted tomato on top and the bun is is nice and buttery. The hand cut fries are also very tasty. I've also had the mussels and enjoyed the broth as well, it's perfect for dunking the fries. The mac 'n cheese is great comfort food, it is really dense with cheese with a crunchy topping. Spinach salad with bacon is delicious. Everyone that works there is really nice. Over the summer it was nice to walk right in and get a table, but now that it's getting cooler, everyone will be in the mood for comfort food again and I'll have to wait in line!

Good Tex-Mex in Boston?

Thanks everyone, I'll be sure to visit all of these places soon and see how they satisfy my hankering for Tex-Mex.

I've tried Tacos el Charro in JP and was disappointed. I had higher hopes for Jose's near Porter Square, and again, not quite what what I wanted.

Good Tex-Mex in Boston?

I just moved here from Texas and was wondering if there are any good Tex-Mex restaurants in the area? I want warm chips, spicy fresh salsa, tasty guacamole.

Moody St. (area) suggestions???

actually, if you know anything about southern style barbecue, you should be going to bison county. they have excellent, authentic south carolina style mustard base barbecue. the owner's family is from south carolina, so he knows his stuff. don't bother with the texas style. get the mustard.
