What the heck happened to the price of milk? I know it's a shame.I wonder if they don't got us so used to getting ripped off by the gallon with gas they just thought they'd do it with milk. |

Good eats near Green Lake Park (SEA) Look like good donuts I'm always looking for a place with cake donuts, this could be bad to know after doing laps at Greenlake I could eat about 6 of those. How much are they for regular donuts,I didn't see a price on the site.Winchells up on 45th has good doughnuts and coffee too.Too bad they dont fix the place up it looks like a dump. |

hot pistachios(I mean warm them on a sheet pan in the oven) and blue cheese top an occasional drink nicely. |

Really old Dom Perignon... ok to drink? Send the bottle to me and after i'm done testing it i'll send it back.My results might be that it somehow transformed into a wine tasting like Thunderbird or MD 20/20. |

Theres no law that you have to tip anything. Some people are poor and are lucky to be able to give you a tip.A tithing at a church is 10% what makes eating out so special.I know you need to survive and make money. If our country's economy grows 8% its a great year. Most sales tax 10%.Theres just no way tipping over 15% is necessary your already getting 5% extra to go out of your way to not cut corners and do me up real good.So be happy when you get 15% or even 20% which is not the tip you'd get from me unless my grandpa was choking on a chicken bone and you gave him the heimlich maneuver. In that case i'd take you out to eat and let you pay the tip. |

What to do with fish heads and fish tails? put in meat grinder make fish patty sandwiches for the in-laws. |
|

I grew up in the restaurant industry and never heard of a 20% tip unless it was some real rich guy tipping.Just not feasible for average folk. When my dad owned restaurants he knew the waiters and waitresses were only getting 10-15% tips,if that, alot of times none. And some make more than others. But 20% is in lala land. |
|
|
This is the way it's done.If you want good service the next time you come in you better stir the pot and get people motivated lol.If its obvious and can be checked by the waiter, sure there getting less of a tip.Blood all over your plate when you order medium well is not my fault and should be obvious to any good waiter. |

What to do with fish heads and fish tails? If there small trout heads they can be cut long ways and fried, fried tails are awesome. But with big fish they'd be hard to cook to a point to be edible, the bones, head and tail can be simmered with half and half potatoes, celery, onions, garlic, salt pepper and butter hopefully all the good stuff will offset it enough to let you forget which parts your using for the soup pick the bits of meat off and put them in it.Your not getting alot of love out of those pieces so don't forget to make your soup by just barley covering the fish scraps. You can skip the half and half and butter and add water and a can of chopped tomatoes,a pinch of crushed red peppers and all the other mentioned goodies we used to make this soup with salmon in Alaska when we worked at the cannerys, very good.As far as vegis your only limited to your imagination. |

Weight Loss: Emergency protein to have around the house? Sounds ok just check with your doctor or nutritionist first. |
|
|
10%-15% of the total bill is a good tip and it's generally accepted as the rule,I use the lower end 10%-12% for bad to average service and 13%-15% for good service.Honestly if it was a horrible experience and I know I'll never be back I'll leave way less than the minimum.Things have to have went very bad for that to happen though. The food was probably awful and the waitress horrible which is rare. |

Weight Loss: Emergency protein to have around the house? Chicken breasts are the best,I grill mine on one of those stove top grill pans.Turkey breast is good too mustard is good to use for sandwiches because no calories and tasty.I use a bit of mayo too don't want to over skimp or over induldge.Beans are awsome and I don't mean those ones you get out of the can cooked dry beans are way more satisfying.I get the Hambeens 15 bean mix,it's like a treat with so many types of beans,I don't add pork,I put in olive oil and sweet chili paste and the seasoning pack it comes with.Sometimes curry and olive oil with vegis.Sometimes i'll add really lean beef.I quit eating pork and feel so much better in every way. |

Ok just tried Hardys Whisker Blake tawny and was very impressed for the price and flavor but my neighbor gave me a drink of Warre's Otima 10 year tawny and it was far smoother and superior in every way. |
