Sunday lunch...not brunch...Sturbridge
A friend is having a birthday lunch in the Sturbridge area with friends coming from VT, NH, MA and RI with no one staying the night except him. Any thoughts on the Whistling Swan, Salem Cross or ???. His wife would like a nice venue with reasonable prices.
I almost can't believe how bad Spoleto's is
OK, now that everyone has come down on Spoleto's, where else is close by (walking distance) of the iron Horse and is fit for 3 couples this Saturday ? Doesn't have to be too fancy...just kinda' nice with decent food and atmosphere.
Caribou Cocktail
Thanks for the replies; but, no idea of contents/base or the restaurant but know it wasn't warm nor very sweet. Guess we'll just have to go back to Old Quebec City and spend another wonderful get-a-way searching out the restaurant. Whatta' great place !!!!

On a wonderful trip to Quebec City we had the above cocktail in a small restaurant in 'old town'. No one seems to know what we're talking about when we search for the recipe...just get 'how to cook caribou steaks' etc. Any help out there ???
Romantic ambience recs please
Will be in SF Tues thru Fri in mid March celebrating an important anniversary and sure would like to have some recs for romanticky places full of atmosphere; the kind of place which will make my ladyfriend swoon and say "yes" all over again. A couple of similar bars are OK also. Oh yeah, and while asking for all this info what about jazz clubs. Any info will sure help !
Outdoor lunch dining
Need an outdoor lunch venue for this coming Friday that's no more than 40 minutes from Sprinfield MA. Should have nice atmosphere, good chow and, hopefully, a scenic drive to and from.
Onset MA
We're going to Onset in a couple of weeks and are not aware of any good places to chow down...places that have good food as well as ambience and a good bar. Any recces?
