Espresso and coffee near W77th/Broadway?

Cafe la Fortuna - W71st bet CPW & Columbus. They have an wonderful backyard garden and have opera music playing. Try the iced cappuccino with a scoop of chocolate sorbet. Very refreshing. P.S. it was a frequent hang out for John and Yoko.

Best Espresso Shake / Gelato Dessert Drink??

Try an affogotto - vanilla (or chocolate) gelato with fresh espresso poured over. Yummy! I've already introduced several friends to this and they all love it. Any restaurant or cafe can create this delish treat.

west village reco - bkyd garden & bkfst/brunch

Recommendations for west village restaurant with garden and place for breakfast/brunch.

Sylvia's or Amy Ruth?

Haven't been to Amy Ruth's, but Miss Mamie's Spoonbread on 110th is mighty good. Wasn't that impressed with Sylvia's, esp. the service. One place you must try on 125th is Wimp's. Excellent baked goods - try the Red Velvet Cake.

I recently discovered that I like Gravlax!

Too bad Ulrika's closed. Try Sable's on Second bet. 77/78. Not only great appetizing and smoked fish, but a speciality is their "lobster rolls". Lobster salad rolled around nova, sliced like maki rolls. They're amazing and sooooo addicting!

RUB or Blue Smoke?

Don't forget Daisy Mae's

capital grill - been there?

Having dinner there and would like some feeback. Any item really stand out apart from the usual steakhouse fare?

Fabio Picollo Fiore-44th bet 2/3

Anyone out there been to this restaurant? Considering it for dinner, but would like some feedback.

UWS reviews and seeking rec's esp for mex

Cafe - Cafe La Fortuna. It's one of my favorites. I believe it's 71st between Col & CPW. Great coffee, pastries and lunch/dinner menu. Always have opera playing and a lovely backyard garden. It's one of the few authentic cafes remaining in the city. If you're on the UWS you must check it out.

Bagels for the room near 34th and Lex?

Daniel's Bagels! Third & 37th. Not only do they have great bagels, but they have baked goods made on the premises. Very good whitefish salad and freshly sliced nova. If you get to wandering and want a good appetizing place - Sable's @ 77th & Second. They have the most incredible lobster "rolls" - nova wrapped around lobster salad and sliced like Japanese maki. If you get to Chelsea, try Murray's Bagels (can't remember the exact location though).

any suggestions for upper west side sushi?

Haru is nice. Sushi of Gari is awesome, if you're willing to break the bank. We always like Sushi Planet. Sure it's a tad run-of-the mill, but they do have some nice outdoor seating, which works very nicely with a cold sake in hand.

Little Owl

Is it is good as the revews say?

What other restaurants have fries like Balthazar?

Markt - Sixth & 21st. Plus an amazing selection of Belgian beers.

Need a fun place in the E50's

Other than "fraternity row" on Second Ave. The one place I thought of was Dos Caminos. Any other suggestions?
