Boudin Noir in Toronto?

I bought some a couple of months ago at Chabichou at Harbord & Borden. Don't know if they have it regularly but it was incredibly good, maybe the best I've ever had. I don't live anywhere near there which is why I'm not up to date on supply. Perhaps I'll make a special trip tomorrow, even if they don't have the boudin they always have fantastic cheese.

Timely addition to "The Globe"'s menu:

Was there recently ... the piglet ham is to die for. Also features on their dinner menu, in the suckling pig dish. For those not so enamoured of pork the french toast is delicious: thick, soft, sweet and just 'eggy' enough.

Fine food in Calgary?

Hello. Is there such a thing as an 'épicerie fine' in these parts? What about a boulangerie and a fromagerie?

oasi

Had dinner there last week. Fantastic octopus and grilled sardines! Main course fish slightly overcooked but very flavourful. Like the look and feel of the place, interesting wine list. Didn't have dessert as I found the options traditional and somewhat boring. I'd go back.

A perfect day to start the GREAT PATIOS thread

Checked out Globe Bistro's rooftop this weekend: it's gorgeous! Love their cocktail list and the cheeseplate. Will definitely return.

Best Romantic Gourmet Rest. in the city?

Consider also Mildred Pierce.
Off the beaten path, friendly staff, romantic room, and also a patio if it's a warm evening.
I think their menu is posted on dine.to
